Journey of the Rainbow Kundalini Serpent 2001
No place on earth but Chichen Itza
embodies the climax of wisdom and
energy practices of the Toltec-Maya.
Chichen Itza is the apex of the
marriage between the Toltec and the
Maya, where the whole became
greater than the sum of the parts,
where the knowledge, initiations and
energetic realisations, exceed this
realm and are geometrically housed
within awakened, living temples of
stone. Following celestial omens, a
journey to Chichen will be offered, as
this is the only place in the world
where seekers may experience the
authentic, awesome totality of the
Toltec-Maya initiatory cosmos and
see these energies, housed within
their encoded temple structures, with
their very own eyes. Those who
accept the invitation to make this
journey will be required to comply
with a most stringent purification, offering up all of the non-essentials
of their lives, in the hopes of being empty enough to receive even a minute
portion of the wonders that await. The Yucatan peninsula is a celestial land,
honeycombed ancient white limestone, flowing with sacred underground rivers,
and with the authentic living descendants of the Toltec-Maya, the Itzaes,
who still occupy parts of the land all the way to the jungles of Tikal, Guatemala.
The embodiment of risen Serpent energy, one of the key transformational essences honoured in their practices, is manifest for the Toltec-Maya as Kukulkan Quetzalcoatl, the Celestial Rainbow or Feathered Serpent, and harmonises beautifully with the risen Kundalini Serpent energy of the Yogic tradition. Having witnessed the gracious and sacred reception of local Maya to the sincere traditional honouring of Serpent energy, additional omens of exchanging and combining heart felt gestures and gifts between Kundalini Yoga and traditional Toltec-Mayan practices came forth. The temple sites we will visit manifest the global synergy of heightened awareness ever present within our most evolved wisdom traditions, elevating, purifying and celebrating our living existence as energetic beings. The sequence of auspicious omens, signs, dreams and communications from heightened awareness, signalled a request and an invitation from Energy itself to introduce, weave and coalesce two authentic lineages of Serpent Power into a unity of spiritual elevation and heart healing. Toltec-Mayan practices work within a state of lucidity known as awakened dreaming, during which offerings are made. Kundalini yoga and meditation require only your active participation and a sincere intent to align the subtle, mental and physical bodies on a sacred journey to honour and to receive an energetic transmission from Mata Shakti, the feminine Serpent power, also known as Ixchel for the Toltec-Maya. Our Kundalini experience will encompass early morning practice for clarity, for purification, to cultivate emptiness and to establish a collective unity of intent. Specific kriyas (kriya means Œcompleted action¹) will resonate with the energies of the sites and temples we shall encounter and will include Heart Healing circles, the Shining Skull Kriya, Brahm Mudra - meditation to See, the Thunderbolt, Holding Counsel - establishing rhythm in the neutral mind, Erasing the Akashic Record, Realising the Angelic Self and the Kriya of the Serpent. The Toltec-Mayan practices will include instruction in Dreaming and the Mesa altar offerings, rites of purification: Limpias (energetic cleansings), Fire Breath (a Serpent energy circulation breath) and a traditional Temazcal (a Toltec-Mayan sweat lodge), pilgrimage along the sacred road of transformation and entry level Dreaming practices which open one to the energetic inner temple mysteries.
The Journey will begin with a purification at Xcaret, where
participants will float down the underground river of life and death. This
site of ritual bathing for the ancient Toltec-Maya was the beginning point
of a journey of offering to the feminine lunar and water energy of the goddess
Ixchel. Dolphins swim at the sparkling coast of Xcaret, which is now an eco
paradise and a sea turtle hatching area. If we are fortunate, participants
will also witness the authentic, ancient Mayan ball game, played on a sacred
court in full regalia, and hear the blessings of the feathered Toltec-Maya
priests for the new fire at Xcaret. The next day the group will journey to
Coba, passing through small Mayan towns along the way. Coba is a primal feminine
priestess site within the jungle, still just as the Maya left it, unspoiled
by restoration or archeological digs. The following day the group will go
to Tulum, the only temple site situated on the shores of the pristine Caribbean.
This sacred site was the port of departure, following purification at Xcaret,
for sacred journeys to the island of Cozumel, where the offerings to the goddess
Ixchel were made. At these two feminine sites we will make offerings to the
goddess. Four is the number of stability, and it takes four days to experience
Chichen in its totality. If you have ever been fortunate enough to spend less
time there, superficially experiencing the site, without the underlying roads
of living initiation and the elucidation and experience of the temple mysteries,
you have received very little, so give all of that up and begin afresh. During
the four days at Chichen, participants may experience depending upon our group
worthiness, preparation, humility, patience and intent ....... the true meaning
of the Celestial Ball Court, the first level initiation at Jaguar House, the
experience of the Heart of the Pyramid of the Feathered Serpent Kukulkan,
the death of self transformations at Tzompantli, the first level initiation
at the Temple of the Warriors, and the entrance to the first level initiation
at the Pyramid of Kukulkan-Quetzalcoatl, the Celestial Serpent. In addition,
we will spend time at the sacred pool of Chac, the astronomical observatory,
and in old Chichen, which was occupied a full five to six hundred years prior
to the arrival of the Toltecs. There we will experience the original Mayan
energy. Prior to entering the experiences at Chichen each day and the Dreaming
of each night, a purification is required. These will be conducted at the
original sites for such offerings, such as the cave of the Jaguar Serpent
Balankanche and the sacred baptismal well of Dtiznup. The village where we
will stay while at Chichen is still a partially Mayan town that was actually
part of Chichen proper, before the formation of the archeological zone, and
there is a burial mound on the premises of our small hotel. Free time has
been scheduled in to allow for experiencing the local energies of this town,
Piste, its people, shopping and food, and for enjoying the paradise of private
beach at the other location, the Bay of Akumal, where we will stay over several
nights at the beginning of our journey.
